The Great Train Defence

The Great Train Defence asks the question that has been on all  our minds - what if tower defence, but train?

You control a series of connected carriages on which towers are buildable, and then you must choose where these towers are located on the rail track at any given time. You can move whenever you like, but you can't be everywhere at once.

A Note from the Developer

This is an in-development game, expect bugs and placeholder art! Especially the placeholder art, things do not look pretty right now. Also be aware that aspects of the game may change without warning between versions as new features are introduced, temporary features are removed, and game balance is adjusted.

How To Play

Enemies move on paths through the level, attempting to head to the town bank and steal gold. If the enemy manages to leave the map carrying gold, the gold is subtracted from the town supply. If the town's supply of gold runs out it's game over!

The player can stop the enemies by driving their train nearby and letting the towers mounted on train carriages automatically shoot at and defeat enemies.

Unlike other tower defence games, enemies do not drop resources to build towers. These resources are instead collectable from different points around the map.

These resources (scrap) are brought out slowly by townspeople attempting to help the player. Townspeople will walk from their homes to the nearest dropoff point and leave scrap for the player to collect, but they will run away if enemies are nearby!

To build new carriages and towers press the build mode key!

Controls are can be remapped ingame.
Mouse and Keyboard control recommended!
Joypad control is mostly implemented, but some menus may not be intuitive and remapping displays the wrong input.
