Masquercarde
Masquercarde is a Triple-Triad inspired card game where socialites at a noble ball attempt to influence each other (through charm, deception, and intimidation) so they can control the party.

Defeat the computer opponent or play against a friend in a battle of tactical social wit! This game was developed for the OGAM game jam and is a finished product. Check out the gameplay instructions below or the tutorial ingame!
Controls
The game is played almost entirely with the mouse - click and drag!
- Hold the spacebar to hide attack icons.
- Press the escape key to close menus or open the pause menu.
How to play
- Drag cards from your hand to the board to play them.
- Cards have attack icons on various edges; if your card has an icon in one direction but the opposing player's card does not, your card will capture their card!
- You must have the most captured cards at the end of the game to win!
Remember!
- When dragging a card to the board a preview (sword icon) will show on which cards it will capture if it was to be placed at that board space.
- In every direction cards have either nothing, 'attack' (a triangle icon), 'strong attack' (a sword icon), or 'defence' (a shield icon)
- Attacks capture cards with nothing in that direction
- Strong attacks capture cards with nothing or attacks in that direction
- Defences prevent capture from that direction
- Different card types (Charm/Deception/Intimidation) have special abilities! The colour of a card's attack icons shows its card type, but the left-hand preview (when hovering over a card) also explains their type/ability.
- Charm (yellow) cards will make cards they capture also attempt to capture other cards, allowing your single move to capture many cards at once!
- Deception (blue) cards can be repositioned once played and attack again - try dragging them to a new space on the board! This uses your turn but allows you to re-use an already played card.
- Intimidation (red) cards will automatically capture any card played adjacent, if they have a stronger attack value in that direction! Look out for the skull icon when placing your card, if this shows up it means placing your card there will result in it being captured!
